Quiet Study in the Library: As our community returns to face-to-face learning and classes at the Conviser Law Center, the Law Library, in partnership with the Association of Professional Scholars, would like to remind students that The Law Library is a quiet place. apprenticeship. It is not recommended to speak in open spaces where, if necessary, the conversation should be short and very quiet. For group study and discussion, the Law Library offers ten study rooms that students can reserve at a table on the 9th floor.

Volunteers Needed – 1 Hour – Role Playing a Client: Professor Contento is looking for volunteers to role play a client for her LLM students to interview.
Total time for JD students will be approximately 1 hour. Professor Contento will send a short “customer fact sheet” for students to read and then on October 28 students will role-play a customer for approximately 20 minutes. This follows and an optional feedback session that JD students may attend if they wish.
It’s a great way for our JD students to interact with our international students and a great way for JDs to have creative fun.

This semester there is another incentive: after the interview, Professor Contento will draw a prize (which the JD student can pick up at his office). The value of the raffle is over $60. In addition, students will receive 1 hour of community service. This service hour also counts as a Pro Bono/Community Service hour.
Center for Research and Services (CRS): IIT’s Center for Research and Services (CRS) conducts the Student Voice Survey, a tool to gather information from students about their experience at the university. We are looking for a student to represent Chicago Kent to help prepare the study and analyze the results, ensuring that the study/results meet the legal needs of our students.
The Student Voice Election is a student body overseen by DRS. The time commitment will probably be several hours per month, depending on the progress of the initial research and analysis of results in the spring.
