by Hcisd Calendar 2023 24 – HARLINGEN, Texas () – The Harlingen Independent School District has adopted a new calendar for next year that will give students an extra week off school.
Veronica Cortan, assistant director for leadership and innovation, said it was possible to give students a week of fall break with state requirements.

It is indeed a teaching tool, a good teaching tool. “And so when we’re trying to develop calendars and take calendars, education is the first thing we consider after our needs,” Cortan said. More and more communities are going through bankruptcy just for the good of their people, right? And so we investigate those kinds of things.”

The extra week will be made up by taking a winter holiday day in January and canceling innovation days in the area.
Anxious parents were skeptical at first, thinking their children would miss a week of vacation.
“At first I thought it was going to add a week to the end of the year or take a week off our December holiday, but now that I look at it, I like it ,” said HCISD parent Macy Maldonado.

Emily Hernandez: “I have a daughter who goes to college in Waco, and she has a fall break, so now it works really well because I can plan something, you know, the I have boys here at school so I can go on vacation. plan.” said one HCISD parent.
Rabbits have sensitive digestive systems that require a good balance of fiber and a diet that includes grass, hay, and green leafy vegetables.
People still have to provide indoor cats with comfortable shelter, plenty of food and water, and a few stimulating toys.
